The Muttrah Heritage Collection is a remarkable five-star hotel brand by Shaza Mysk situated in the heart of Muscat's old city. The hotel's unique architectural design is a blend of traditional Arabian elements and modern technology, making it the first of its kind in Oman and the Gulf region. The hotel is located amidst the old city's historic buildings, with white and cream walls, wooden mashrabiyas, narrow alleys, wind towers, and crowded old markets, giving guests an authentic Arabian experience.
The hotel's design approach aims to preserve the classical and historical elements of the area while adopting state-of-the-art technologies that maximize its potential. The project comprises 18 building blocks divided into three to five independent building clusters, covering over 3000 square meters of area. Guests can navigate the different clusters on foot or using electric golf cars exclusively developed for use in Muttrah.
The hotel boasts more than 120 luxurious guest rooms, high-profile spas, and dining areas. The project's designs were developed by a consortium of seven international signature design studios from four different countries. The hotel's every detail speaks the language of history, culture, and architecture, from the scent of Omani food to the clatter of silver jewels, the drawings of serried paintings, and the light of handmade lanterns.
